Is anything really new… or is it all leftovers, rewrites, making do?

Ecclesiastes 1:9

   What has been will be again,
    what has been done will be done again;
    there is nothing new under the sun.

The quilts I am making are composed of tangible memories in the form of clothing.  This clothing is transformed by taking their old shape and usefulness, cutting them apart and sewing them back together for a new shape and usefulness in a new time. (Can you tell I have been reading Outlander?)  Small and large bits and scraps are given new energy for a new job.

It’s Wednesday, but quiet as a Sunday morning because of the rainy weather.  Machines are silenced by the power of nature.  Good day to you!
